Chalfont Unveil New Vehicle

Chalfont Coaches are pleased to announce the arrival in the next week of its newest coach to join the already impressive fleet.

The vehicle, a Volvo Vanhool coach may look the same as previous purchases, however this vehicle is not only a first for Chalfont but also a first front wheelchair accessible vehicle on a Volvo chasis made by the Vanhool coach builders.

The vehicle has been a long project between Vanhool (Belguim) and Chalfont and has seen many trips to Belgium to co-ordinate the design with the coach builders.

Since then the vehicle has made an appearence at the Showbus event held at Duxford on the 27th September in which it proved a very busy attraction.

Finally the vehicle will star in the prestigious Coach show to be held at the NEC in early October.

Company director Ivan Shears commented: "This vehicle sees another first for our company and also a first for the industry on the already impressive Volvo Vanhool combination that is serving our fleet so well. I'm sure our existing and potential new customers will be very pleased with the investment and progress that Chalfont Coaches are continuing to make."

Chalfont star at Showbus 2009

On Sunday 27th September 2009 Chalfont Coaches entered 3 of its fleet of impressive coaches into the 2009 Showbus event held at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford.

The show which had over 500 entries from across the UK showcases vehicle from all ages, ranging from brand new coaches through to vehicles dating pre 1950.

Chalfont, showing its latest vehicle for the first time enjoyed a busy afternoon with many people wanting to see the latest in the Volvo Vanhool collection.

Senior driver Brian Fisher was on hand to answer any questions and commented that their was a good response from the public, in particular the latest Chalfont vehicle which drew a lot of attention.

New Range Of Vehicles On Offer at Chalfont!

With the summer nearly upon us, Chalfont Coaches are pleased to announce the purchase of more new vehicles to our fleet of coaches.

The purchase of these vehicles to our fleet are significant in that they represent a different range on offer to our customers.

The new range of vehicles consist of;

70 Seater VDL Bova

With 70 seats the VDL Bova is very versatile giving our customers the opportunity to move even larger numbers of people with fewer vehicles meaning it's less hassle and more affordable. The vehicle is fitted with Air Conditioning for added comfort for our customers.

Wheelchair Accessible Volvo Vanhools B12B's

 

 

Our new wheelchair access vehicles have the capability to be used with 53 seats or 49 seats and place for 1 wheelchair which has access via a lift situated in the middle of the vehicle.

The vehicles are equipped with floor mounted toilet (with hot air hand dryers), Air Conditioning, Satellite Navigation, CD Radio with P.A system.

The vehicles are fitted with the Volvo 12 litre engine which is at the rear of the vehicle and is joined to a 12 speed i-shift gearbox giving 420bhp.

These new vehicles are a first for Chalfont and we are very pleased with their performance and handling.

"These vehicles represent an investment of over £1million and take the company into different areas of coaching, especially with our entrance into wheelchair accessible vehicles.

New Vehicles

Chalfont are pleased to anounce that we are to take delivery of five new vehicles over the next 2 to 3 months.

The vehicles that are to be delivered are as follows;

2x 53 seater Volvo B12B Euro 5 Wheelchair accessible Vanhool

1x 57 seater Volvo B12B Euro 5 Vanhool

1 x 70 seater VDL Bova

1x 16 seater Mercedes Minibus

Churchill Cup 2007

Chalfont Coaches are pleased to announce that we have been awarded the contract to supply the team coaches for all the participating nations in this years Rugby Union Churchill Cup.

Teams participating are England Saxons, Ireland, Scotland, New Zealand Maori, Canada & U.S.A.

The tournament finishes up at Twickenham on finals day on the 2nd June 2007.

 


     
     

Chalfont Coaches take delivery of 3 new Volvo Vanhools.

In September 2006 Chalfont Coaches took delivery of 3 new Volvo B12M Van Hool Alizee T9 Alicron 12-metre luxury coaches.

The new vehicles feature reclining seats with rear, floor mounted toilet including warm air hand dryers.

All our new vehicles feature the Volvo 340bhp mid-mounted Euro Three engine coupled to a six speed manual gearbox with retarders and ASR traction control.

The new vehicles are all certified DDA compliant with Hanover displays to the front, side and rear, modified step widths, contrasting step edgings and handrails.

The vehicles include Radio, PA and CD system, Travel pilot satellite navigation system and colour reversing camera.

The recent additions at Chalfont now means that 82% of the vehicles are less than 3 years old.
